Outcome Mapping as a Monitoring and Evaluation Approach: principles and application by ILRI and related partners

Outcome mapping as an M & E approach focuses on the social changes an initiative intends to bring through key stakeholders, by clarifying the changes expected and providing requisite support to these transformations. Results are measured in terms of the changes in the actions and relationships that can reinforce or undermine the material changes being sought.  Outcome Mapping (OM) has been used by organizations in Africa, Latin America and Asia to help researchers consider how their outputs will be used, by whom and for what purposes.

This presentation and accompanying brief will be about the application of OM in ILRI Programs and Projects, experiences and highlighted recommendations for a better approach in future.
