Understanding niches for multi-purpose-legume intensification in smallholder farming systems: Early applications of the decision-support Legume CHOICE tool in Ethiopia

Legumes have great potential to contribute to rural livelihoods and natural resources, according to a poster designed by scientists at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). One of many interventions highlighted by ILRI scientists would be the introduction of leguminous plants corresponding specifically to farmer’s needs, which would potentially increase the farmer incomes and productivity, and therefore better livelihood for farmers and their families.
